Uzbekistan: the State Guarantees Developing a Sustainable Education System It is an undeniable fact that in the 21st century the success in development can only be achieved by those countries that have chosen to prioritize investment in human capital, since the accumulated knowledge and information have now become strategic resources - writes Ranokhon Tursunova.A state system of sustainable education, which consists of pre-school, general secondary and primary vocational education, higher and postgraduate education, professional development and retraining, is well-developed in Uzbekistan. It is quite relevant and timely to introduce a new edition of the Constitution with regulations that the state creates conditions for ...

The 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome will provide the perfect opportunity for professional golf to unite The eyes of the golfing world might not be focused on Rome just yet, but with just six months to go before the 2023 Ryder Cup begins, that will soon change. As of now, however, most of the focus is understandably on the first major of the year set to be held at Augusta National in Georgia. The Masters takes centre stage In particular, with Rory Mcllroy chasing the career Grand Slam, the narrative in the professional game is heavily centred on what might happen on the hallowed fairways of the Masters when he tees off. Tellingly, this sense of expectation reached new heights in the lead-up to the event after the latest golf odds showed the Northern Irishman to be the outright favourite to win his first green jacket and in doing so, make history. Indeed, if you bet on US Masters outright markets, you will find Mcllory at odds of just 13/2 to win the tournament. Accomplishing this feat would mean that Mcllroy becomes only the seventh man in history to win the career Grand...

Corteo Leaps into City of Angels

Published Thu, 21 Nov 2024 18:30:18 GMT

Corteo Leaps into City of Angels Corteo (or cortege in Italian) references a procession, and in the case of the new Cirque de Soleil show at the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live, the procession is eye-popping. Though the narrative of this acrobatic spectacle is a bit muddled, it’s visually stunning nonetheless. It depicts the funeral of a character called Mauro The Dream Clown, visually with little to no dialog. As Mauro’s circus family pays their respects, we see his spirit observing the scene amongst floating angels and lively dream sequences featuring those he performed with and loved. Jugglers, jesters, and of course lots of acrobats in classic Cirque fashion, encompass the show with highlights including performers dangling in midair dance via giant chandeliers and Mauro’s miniature clown cohorts enjoying the revelry, including a massive balloon ride over the audience.Corteo runs now through April 30 at Microsoft Theater, 777 Chick Hearn Ct., Downtown L.A.  Tickets and info at microsofttheater.c...
