Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick says he’ll return from injury, play Sunday vs. Cardinals PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsubrgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick said Friday he will play this weekend against Arizona after being sidelined for more than a month.Sunday’s game against the visiting Cardinals would be Fitzpatrick’s action since suffering a hamstring injury against Jacksonville on Oct. 29. He said the lengthy recovery process can be “annoying” but required him to be patient in building back to full speed.“You don’t know until you go,” Fitzpatrick said. “It’s one of them injuries where you can feel great and then you go out there and you run and it’s still not 110 (percent). And then you can go out there and feel great and then you might pop some scar tissue or tweak it a little bit.“And especially as a DB, receiver or running back, something like that, you don’t want to be out there until you’re 110 and you can play at full go.”Fitzpatrick has participated fully in practice all week.___AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/NFLSource

Judge dismisses legal challenge against Virginia state senator over residency allegations RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Virginia judge on Friday dismissed a legal challenge that sought to prevent the certification of the election of a state legislator, rejecting claims that Democratic Sen. Ghazala Hashmi had not met the state’s residency requirements.Retired judge Jan L. Brodie issued the decision from the bench after an hourslong hearing in Chesterfield Circuit Court. Several Chesterfield County residents filed a petition in November alleging that Hashmi, who was first elected in 2019 and recently won a second term, was not complying with the requirement that candidates live in the district they are seeking to represent. In the court proceedings, both sides acknowledged that Hashmi had rented an apartment inside the confines of the Richmond-area 15th District where she was elected in November after the most recent redistricting process resulted in new political maps. But the petitioners argued she had not abandoned the longtime family home where her husband continued to l...

He returned a few plays later and handed off to Trey Benson for a game-sealing touchdown run in FSU’s 24-15 victory.Seminoles coach Mike Norvell said Friday at a news conference for the two ACC coaches that Rodemaker initial passed on-field concussion tests Saturday night but had symptoms a day later.
